Spring Court G2 Black Sneakers

Our favourite! Slim, low-rise sneakers featuring 6 eye lace up front with matching flat cotton laces and a durable, natural gum white rubber sole. This sneaker has a cup sole construction, the sole is stitched and glued to the upper for maximum strength.

The outsole is ventilated with four recognisable holes. This feature is a signature Spring Court design and won’t be found on any other sneakers.

Oh so comfy cushioned polyurethane innersoles offer heel and arch support… seriously feels like walking on clouds! The innersoles also have a cotton top layer.

Another recognisable feature of Spring Courts is the off white cotton lining.

Brand History

Spring Court sneakers were first designed in Paris in 1936 as a tennis shoe. They now off the perfect classic French sneaker.

The traditional working class neighbourhood of Belleville in Paris has been home to George Grimmeisen’s workshop since the 19th century. The company is still managed by the original family!

It was here that he created the first breathable tennis shoe in the world, the Spring Court G2.
Designed for play on clay and diverted from the tennis court in the 1960’s, the sneakers began gracing the streets of the world, becoming an iconic shoe that transcends generations.

Fun fact. John Lennon wore Spring Court’s on the Abbey Road album cover and on his wedding day when he married Yoko Ono.
