Shoe Size Guide

Size Guide (1)

This chart is a guide only. We have done our best to provide accurate size conversions, however each manufacturer has a completely unique size scale so inconsistencies may occur.

HERE ARE SOME TIPS ON GETTING THE SIZE RIGHT:

Have you bought the brand before?
Generally sizing is consistent for each brand. Sizes can vary by style, but checking your wardrobe for shoes of the same brand is a great starting point.

What are the shoe made of?
Leather tends to have more stretch than man made fabrics. Ideally you want a leather shoe to be firm (not tight!) so it can soften and mould perfectly to your foot. If a shoe fits properly it should not expand significantly. (Unfortunately you are not Cinderella and a shoe will not increase a whole size! At least not without significant wear, commitment and determination!) How much and where a shoe will stretch depends on many factors including the construction, the number and placement of seams, how much pressure is being applied to the leather, how the shoe is being worn, how much the shoe is being worn and the type of leather.

If a shoe has stretched you can take up some of the space by inserting an innersole or use a heel shield. A half innersole will lift you foot up and back and it’s amazing the difference they can make.

Read each product description carefully
We will include any available information on sizing for each specific style in the product description. We know certain brands or styles can have a larger or smaller fit and we will let you know if a style is wider or narrower.

Finding your foot length
Your foot length measurement is from your heel to your longest toe. Remember it is very common to have different sized feet so ensure you measure both your left and right feet!
-Stand on a flat surface with your heels against a wall
-Make sure you stand up straight with weight evenly balanced on both feet
-If you think you will wear a sock, stocking or go barefoot, get an accurate measurement by doing so. It’s amazing the difference it may make!
-Place a measuring tape on the floor beside the inside of your foot
-Position an object with a flat, straight edge across the tip of your longest toe. A shoe box lid is great!
-Ensure the shoe box lid is parallel with the wall
-Getting a friend to help ensures a more accurate measurement!
